Anti-hail cannon

The principle of operation is the creation of shock sound waves that destroy the hail formation environment – polarity in the middle of the cloud, the orderly movement of raindrops up and down.

The system consists of a metal container, a shock wave generator with gas injection, an igniter, an electronic controller, a solar battery charger, a lightning rod, and wireless telecommunications equipment based on GSM communication.

• Fuel – acetylene gas in cylinders
• Range – 500 meters from the gun in each direction
• The equipment is mounted inside a 20-foot container
• Start-stop – remote, via SMS or phone call to the built-in modem
• The gun does not disperse clouds, i.e. does not prevent precipitation
• The sound of the shot – approximately 130 dB

• Annual operating costs – about € 5.0/hectare
