Combine harvester for currants and raspberries

Application:

The harvester (semi-row) for harvesting blackcurrants, chokeberry, rose hips and raspberries is designed as an independent unit that can be easily mounted on a tractor using a cardan shaft and standard connections (minimum tractor power – 30 hp)

The harvester is operated by at least two workers (tractor driver, worker who cleans the box)

The harvester covers and shakes half of the row, and harvesting is carried out in two passes

The harvester conveyor is driven by a fan that removes debris (leaves, branches), throws back the fruits, and they fall into the box after cleaning

The efficiency of the machine is about 2 hectares per day.

Conditions for obtaining maximum results:

 1. The minimum row spacing should be 2.5 m.
 2. All shoots with fruits that are below 30-40 cm from the ground level must be removed. The shaker will not be able to reach them, but the vibration will cause the ripe fruit to fall to the ground in this case.
 3. You should start the machine only in half of the row. In this case, all ripe fruits will be shaken. If you try to grab the maximum number of bushes in the width of the row, then the fruits on the other side of the row will not reach the conveyor and will fall to the ground.
 4. When picking berries, the right ski of the combine should be as close to the base of the row as possible. This minimizes the free space between the conveyor and the bush, through which ripe fruits can fall to the ground.
 5. When you have placed the right ski as close as possible to the row, use the device to divide the row into two sub-rows (fix it to the right or left to divide the row into two).

ADVANTAGES OF MECHANIZED HARVESTING:

ECONOMY

During the day, the machine can process approximately 2 hectares of plantings. To achieve this result using manual harvesting, it would be necessary to involve about 150 workers.

QUALITY

With mechanized harvesting, there is no direct contact between the worker and the fruit, so the fruits remain in good condition from a microbiological point of view.
